Not a dramatic exit. Just a very quiet, very clear moment in a pool in Mexico where I realised something had to give.
I spent fourteen years working in law and qualified as a solicitor. I loved parts of it. But by the end I was burnt out. I was not present for my work or my family, and I had nothing left for myself.
So I stopped. I rebuilt my health, found my way back to myself, and somewhere in the middle of all that I remembered how much I love travel, and how much I know about it. Little Luxe Escapes started in late 2025, and it exists because of everything that came before it.
Before I ever worked in travel, I booked holidays through agents myself. What came back was a list. Hotels and packages with no reasoning attached, no conversation about how we holiday as a family, nothing about the details that turn out to matter once you are there. So I did all the research anyway, which was the exact thing I had gone to them to avoid.
That is what I built Little Luxe Escapes to be the opposite of. I ask questions first. Who is coming, how you like to spend a day, what has gone wrong on holidays before, what you are quietly hoping for. Then I go away and do the work, and what comes back to you is a shortlist chosen for you, with the reasoning behind each one.
I retrained, fully. Little Luxe Escapes is built inside The JLT Group, an established travel network, with Protected Trust Services and ATOL protection behind every booking, and I train directly with the hotels and suppliers I recommend. Fourteen years in law left me with habits that turn out to matter enormously in travel: I read the small print, I check the things other people assume, and I stay calm when plans wobble.
I plan mid to luxury holidays for families, couples, honeymoons, big celebrations and groups. Dynamically packaged trips, fully bespoke itineraries, and multi centre routes that take some working out.
I am not a booking engine and I do not send generic search results. If a hotel is not right for you, I will say so, even when it is not what you want to hear. If I would not consider it for myself, I cannot recommend it to you.
My network runs from the biggest names in UK travel to small specialist operators you will never find on a comparison site. I am not tied to any of them. I choose whoever is right for your trip.
I know how it feels to want a holiday that gives you everything, and to have nothing left in the tank to plan it. So I do that bit for you.
