The plain English version of how I handle your information.
Little Luxe Escapes is an independent travel advisory run by Carla, operating as part of The JLT Group (Janine Loves Ltd t/a The JLT Group). You can contact me about anything in this policy at carla@littleluxeescapes.co.uk.
When you enquire: your name, contact details and the information you give me about your trip: who is travelling, dates, budget and preferences. I use this to respond to you and plan your holiday. Enquiries made through my enquiry form are processed through The JLT Group’s booking system.
When you book: the details needed to make your booking, including passport information, dates of birth, and any dietary, medical or accessibility requirements you choose to share so I can pass them to your suppliers. Payment is taken through secure hosted payment links or directly into a Protected Trust Services client trust account. I do not store your card details.
When you visit this site: standard technical information such as pages visited, and analytics data if analytics tools are in use, to understand how the site is used.
I process your information to take steps you ask for before entering a contract and to perform that contract (planning and booking your trip), to meet legal obligations (such as financial protection and record keeping requirements), and where I have a legitimate interest (such as responding to enquiries and improving this website). Where I rely on your consent, for example for any marketing, you can withdraw it at any time.
Only who needs it to deliver your trip: the hotels, airlines, tour operators and other suppliers in your booking; The JLT Group, whose booking systems and financial protection arrangements sit behind Little Luxe Escapes; and Protected Trust Services, who hold client payments in trust. Some suppliers are based outside the UK, in which case your information is transferred as needed to deliver the trip you have booked. I never sell your information.
Enquiry details are kept while we are talking and for a reasonable period afterwards. Booking records are kept for as long as legal, tax and financial protection obligations require, and then deleted or anonymised.
You can ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, object to or restrict how I use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email me and I will sort it. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
